Aviv Aviad has been the principal of Cornus Consulting for the past 20 years. Cornus specializes in providing short and long term financial and strategic services. In this role, Aviv led a wide variety of projects, including:

- Part-Time Director of Finance – providing services to a national organization with 160 chapters, including ongoing financial oversight, setting up policies, developing budgets and overseeing audits.
- Recruitment and Transition Support to a national disability rights organization hiring a new CFO.
- Financial Model Development to support fundraising for an impact investment fund that invests in early stage entrepreneurs growing healthy food-related businesses.
- Finance Department Assessment following an accelerated growth period. Provided recommendations, developed an action plan and supported implementation.
- Finance Integration for a national outdoor recreation organization merging five separate non-profit organizations.
- Economic Analysis and Market Sizing for a national community development financial institution.
- Profitability Analysis and Production Process Redesign for a major university publication arm.
Formerly, Mr. Aviad has been a consultant with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, in New York, where he worked on various strategic issues. Prior to that Mr. Aviad was a corporate law attorney at Lipa Meir & Co Advocates in Tel Aviv where he specialized in dispute resolution and corporate governance. Mr. Aviad is also the co-founder of Comsend, a community- based fundraising technology company serving hundreds of organizations worldwide.
Mr. Aviad received an MBA from the Yale School of Management in 2001, with a focus in strategy and finance. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from the Tel Aviv University Buchman Law School in 1998, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BA), summa cum laude, from Tel Aviv University Berglas School of Economics in 1997. Mr. Aviad is a member of the Israeli Bar Association.
